The 7 Oscars Style Leaders

We break down the why behind what made these ladies shine on the red carpet. With a special nod to J-Law for keeping it real, wine in hand, taking a short cut to find her seat pre-show.

This woman can literally do no wrong! She manages to make pants and a jacket (sans top) look formal and sophisticated in a way that we can only dream of. This slim and stunning look proves that elegance and comfort can go hand in hand.

Laura Dern: Photo from external source

Laura Dern embodied elegance itself at the Oscars with this flattering V neckline and flowing sleeve design. But we can only look on in envy, because there is a zero per cent chance that we would survive the after party without a few well placed wine stains.

Sandy rocks this glam style and the only thing shining brighter than her glitzy dress is the blinding smile! This high neckline flatters a small bust and creates a formal style that still lets you show off a little skin.

Kaela Settle’s style is all about balance and detail. The off shoulder neckline and nude colour elongate her shape and the sheer sleeves show off a little skin while keeping her arms comfortably covered.

For those of us who just can’t say no to a plate of fancy hors d’oeuvres, Fatima Al Remaihi’s dress is absolute gold. The draping style will hide any bloating from a few well-earned glasses of bubbles and the high neckline will have you looking classy all night long!

Meryl Streep: Photo from external source

With a dress that would do Miranda Priestly proud, Meryl has combined bold tones with a flattering silhouette to create a timeless red carpet look. The 3/4 sleeves, flowing A-line shape and gorgeous V-neckline are perfect for looking elegant and graceful at your next event!

Tiffany Hadish: Photo from external source

Tiffany Haddish is our new idol. She wore her stunning Alexander McQueen dress for the third time, presented with her heels in her hands and curtsied to the Oscars queen, Meryl Streep. When her co-stars questioned her about her “taboo” fashion choice, she kept it real, replying “I don’t give a dang about no taboo. I spent a lot of money on this dress!” You are our new role model Ms Haddish.
