It’s all about finding something that you can mix and match. Our stylist, Leisa, loves to buy something new when she goes to a wedding as she doesn’t have that many opportunities to go to special functions. However, she always looks for wearable pieces that can be dressed up or down.
The Brown Animal Silk Wrap Pant is an embellished statement pant that Leisa has paired back with a beautiful basic, the Blake Black Bamboo Top, which is hi-lo. You can simply tuck it at the front to show off the lace-up detailing on the pant. You could even add on a little pashmina if it’s cool. If you’re going to a dressier wedding, finish off the outfit with a pair of heels or if we’re talking beach wedding, take the heels off and just do a sandal.
This is a little bit out of Leisa’s comfort zone so she’s kept it simple on top but she added extra detailing with necklaces and hoop earrings. The two necklaces are the Gold and Stone Multi Layered Necklace and the Reece Gold Clove Necklace, which comes in silver as well.

Sizing on the Brown Animal Silk Wrap Pant
Leisa is a AU 14-16 and is in the M/L. There is a stretchy waistband so there’s plenty of room and they’re not too long, which makes them perfect for shorter and petite ladies.
We have lots of other silk options in stock at the moment - the now-famous Katerina dress comes in so many different colours, black, navy, taupe, petrol. Have a look at this floral version: the Katerina Black Floral Silk Overlay Maxi Dress, which is the same dress in a new print. Don’t be afraid to have a play around and style it differently! You could wear it with a leather jacket. This truly is a beautiful dress (and it’s only $186.95) - it has tiers which is so fun when you’re on the dancefloor and there is a stretchy underlay for comfort. Thanks to the print no one will see where it might feel a little bit firmer - but we do have some shapewear in case you feel like you need it. You could pair this dress with a nude or metallic heel.
The Katerina Dress
We also have the Clio dresses: we tend to wear them as tunic tops paired back with a skinny pant and heels. And because it’s a fairly plain dress, you can go to town and have fun with your accessories!
While the embellished silk pieces like the Brown Animal Silk Wrap Pant are a bit on the pricier side they are keepers in our wardrobe that you can dress up and down and wear all over again - so you can feel confident slipping them into your wardrobe guilt-free. And don’t save them for special occasions - wear them!
